About
OnyxLab started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of games we couldn't put down. At some point we figured we should just write it all down properly instead of losing it in message threads. So here we are.
We're a small editorial team based in Europe. Nobody here is a marketing person. We buy or download the games, put in real hours, and then talk about them like we would to a friend who asked 'is this worth my evening?',We care a lot about the boring stuff other sites skip: how a game handles on a cracked mid-range phone, how much it eats your battery during a commute, whether touch controls make your thumbs cramp after twenty minutes. That's the reality of mobile play.
Games get picked for review in a simple way. Someone on the team gets curious, plays for a while, and if there's something worth saying, they write it. We don't chase release calendars or hype cycles. If a two-year-old game is still great, we'll cover it.
Markus Feldmann — Markus has been reviewing games since flip phones ran Java titles. He handles most of our longer breakdowns and is annoyingly picky about frame pacing.
